Welcome to the Western Australian Barrett's Oesophagus Registry!

Barrett's Oesophagus is a condition in which the normal lining of the oesophagus (food pipe) is damaged and replaced by a pre-cancer type tissue, that increases the risk of developing oesophageal cancer. It is most commonly seen in people who have had long standing acid reflux, resulting in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD).

The registry was established to collect and analyse data on patients with Barrett's Oesophagus in Western Australia, with the goal of improving the understanding of this condition and developing more effective treatment strategies. This project will comply with the Framework for Australian clinical quality registries.

We are committed to advancing research in the field of Barrett's Oesophagus and to improving the care and outcomes of patients in Western Australia. If you have been diagnosed with Barrett's Oesophagus, we encourage you to join our registry and become an active participant in your own healthcare.

Thank you for visiting our website. If you have any questions or would like more information about our registry, please don't hesitate to contact us.
